Weddings at The Oakwood

One wedding at a time

We hold weddings on Thursdays and Saturdays only. That gives us the days in between to plan with you, and gives you the whole farm for two nights.

Offering absolute exclusivity from the moment you arrive to the moment you leave us as newlyweds. Spreading your celebration over days, not hours, allows you to be present in every moment, and make the most of the time spent with your favourite people.

Days, not hours

Three days, one wedding

Your stay runs from three o’clock the day before to the morning after. Here is how it goes.

  1. The Oakwood at dusk, lights on, with ornamental grasses in the foreground

    Day oneCheck in from 3pm

    The day before

The house is yours from three o’clock, and so are the Ceremony Hall and the Old Grain Store, so you can set up with your coordinator rather than leave it all to the morning. In the evening there is the kitchen island to gather round with your closest people.

  2. A just-married couple walking back up the aisle of the Ceremony Hall

    Day twoUntil midnight

    Your wedding day

Get ready in the prep room, marry in the Ceremony Hall or outside, and spend the drinks reception in the courtyard. Then down the staircase into the Old Grain Store for the wedding breakfast, with live music until midnight.

  3. The Oakwood seen across the lawn on a bright day

Day threeCheck out at 10am or 11am

    The morning after

No taxis at midnight and no early start. You wake up where you married, with your favourite people still under the same roof, and check out at 10am after a Thursday wedding or 11am after a Saturday.

The entrance

Down the staircase

In the Old Grain Store, a grand staircase of natural oak and glass rises to the cocktail lounge above the bar. On your wedding day it is your way in. Once your guests are seated for the wedding breakfast, you come down it to join them, with everyone looking up from below.

Planning with us

A friendly face, every step

With only two weddings a week, we can give yours real time. Our wedding coordinators hold meetings with you, keep in regular touch, and help with as much or as little as you like, whether that is the personal touches and decor or simply a friendly face to meet with. On the day, they keep everything running so you can be with your guests.

  • “The hall where our ceremony had such a warm feel to it with the fairy light drop … I will never forget seeing my husband at the end of the aisle in front of those lights waiting for me.”

    Kate & Sam, Google

  • “A very special thank you to Trish and Jess, who were outstanding in every way. Their organisation, attention to detail, and reassuring presence made such a difference and allowed us to fully enjoy every moment without worry.”
