The house at The Oakwood is yours for both nights of your wedding: fourteen bedrooms, each one designed differently, for up to 30 adults.

With everyone staying on site, nobody needs a taxi home, and your room is just across the courtyard whenever you want ten minutes away from the party.

The night before

Kitchen, dining and living

The house has a huge open-plan kitchen, dining area and living space in a double-height extension of glass and oak, fully equipped so you can cater for yourselves. With room round the kitchen island for everyone, it is the natural place to gather the night before.

For the two of you

The bridal suite

All of the bedrooms are individually designed, with en-suite bathrooms, and no two are alike. The bridal suite has a large dressing room and its own balcony, with space for the bridal party to get ready together.

No two rooms the same

Every bedroom in the house is individually designed, and each has its own en-suite bathroom. Here are a few of them.

If you would like to share the cost of the accommodation, you can divide up the 13 bedrooms and charge your guests individually.

Dogs are welcome at your ceremony and drinks reception, but the house itself is not dog friendly.

If more of your guests would like to stay close by, Bridge View is a cosy two-bedroom cottage on the banks of the River Ouse in the village of Cawood. It sleeps up to six, mixes period charm with modern comforts, and has a garden where you can sit with a drink looking over the river. York is ten miles away.
